Long Range SMA Merica 7"/8"/9"/10" GoPro Canopy - (Caddx Air Unit / Vista)
This canopy is an alteration to our GoPro canopy that adds some new geometry which allows for mounting SMA type antennas. This can be very helpful when you want to install a Caddx Air Unit / Polar Air Unit and want to ditch the standard antennas in favor of long range antennas. The antennas are held firmly in place and stress relieved by a couple zip ties that run around each antenna and through the thick walls of the canopy. To facilitate antenna mounting you will need SMA to MMCX adapters that can be located HERE.
This canopy is designed for the Merica 7"/8"/9"/10" to accept mounting a GoPro camera. On this same canopy you can install a GoPro 6/7, GoPro 8, GoPro 9, GoPro Session W/O ND, GoPro Session W/ ND! Camera mount is sold separate. See below for links to each camera mount that fits this canopy. This canopy is also designed to allow you to install the Caddx Air Unit with included Nylon adapter piece. Double sided stick tape joins the adapter to the Air Unit. The adapter/Air Unit combo is then held to the underside of the canopy using the included self tapping screws. The Air Units dual antennas are joined to the back of the canopy by placing them in the appropriate holding slots and then using zip ties to hold them in place.
